About

Malostranska Residence

Malostranska Residence occupies a renovated historic building on Malostranske Namesti, one of Prague's most atmospheric squares. The property runs as an aparthotel, meaning you get the privacy of an apartment with hotel services like daily housekeeping, a concierge desk, and express check-in/out. Public parking is available nearby, and an ATM is on site.

The heart of the operation is location: the tram stop is directly outside, Charles Bridge is at the end of the street, and Prague Castle is a 13-minute walk. Rooms range from compact studios to multi-bedroom penthouses and a presidential suite, each with a kitchen or kitchenette, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome, and extras like airport shuttle, laundry, and grocery shopping can be arranged.

What works, what to weigh

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Exceptional location in Lesser Town — Right on Malostranske Namesti with a tram stop outside, Charles Bridge at the end of the street, and Prague Castle a 13-minute walk away. Guests repeatedly call it perfect for exploring.
  • Spacious, clean apartments — Apartments come with full kitchens or kitchenettes, living areas, and daily housekeeping. Reviews highlight size and cleanliness.
  • Helpful, personal service — Staff go out of their way — fixing a water heater at 10pm, arranging transfers, and offering local tips. The manager's personal touch stands out.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Dining on site is limited — There's no restaurant, so you'll rely on the kitchenette or head out. Dining score is notably lower than other categories.
  • Parking is difficult — The area is a historic pedestrian zone, so street parking is hard to find. Valet parking is available but it's an extra cost.
  • Street noise possible — Apartments facing the main pedestrian street to Charles Bridge can be noisy during the day, though the area calms at night.
  • Not all rooms have air conditioning — Some apartments lack AC, though a fan can be provided on request.

“The residence is right at one end of Charles Bridge, super handy for exploring both sides of the river. Apartment #1 is a huge two-bedroom condo with a decent kitchen (though no toaster). #6 is also a two-bedroom but a bit smaller, and there's a one-bedroom option too. All are clean and nicely furnished, but #1 is the standout.”

“Very nice place in an unbeatable location for seeing the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. We used the airport transfer and would happily recommend it. Our apartment was compact but fine. They gave us a fan when we realised there was no air conditioning.”

“Great choice for Prague. Excellent location. We had a small apartment but it was plenty for a three-day stay. Recently refurbished with a new kitchen and bathroom. Cleaned every day. Highly recommend for location, quality and price. A bit noisy as we faced the main pedestrian street to Charles Bridge, but the area is quiet at night. Not great if you're driving — parking is tough in this historic pedestrian zone.”

“Beautiful building and spotless. Large room, bath and kitchen overlooking Charles Bridge, and the castle is a short walk away. Great spot. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

“This is a residence suite in a renovated old building. Location is very good. They gave us a permit card so we could park on the street.”

“I had a generous, brand-new presidential king suite. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk from Charles Bridge.”
